Roseola it is.....

Woke up this morning surprised and relieved that Ella had slept all night, a huge change from the night before where we were up at least every 30 minutes with a crying baby. I laid her on the floor to change her diaper and too my shock I realized she was COVERED in a red Rash. I immediately remembered the day before I had been looking on the Internet for causes for sudden high fevers, and diarrhea. One of the things that had popped up was Roseloa. I briefly read over it and that was it. Yet this morning I knew right away that was what Ella had. Due to the fact that she had been through EVERY symptom and I remembered Ella’s cousin had it a few weeks back. The doctor confirmed for us that it was Roseloa, and there was pretty much nothing that we would do. On the bright ride I was thrilled that she didn't have a stomach virus…my hands are pretty much bleeding I've been washing them so mush these past few days. On the down side Ella is covered in a horrendous rash, but is feeling almost like herself again!

So due to the fact that I’ve had to keep her quarantine the past week I ran out and got her a little pool to play in outside so she could have a little fun as we push through these last few days of sickness!

Word Girl...

By Gosh we have had our share of sickness over the past 6 months, but it doesn't mean that we haven't been able too have a little fun too! Over the last month Ella has picked up on so many new words! She picks up my cell phone and puts it too her ear and says "Hey GG".  Its so fun and exciting to hear what her little voice sounds like. Her new favorite thing to say is "Sash" (our saint Bernard) and then she says "Woof Woof". Here's a little video of her saying some of her words... You would never know 1 hour after this video she was running a 104.00 fever!!!!!

Father's Day

Being a Wife/Mom one of the sweetest images I have ever seen is the love between Ella and her Daddy. The joy that Ella has for Daniel is undesirable.  I could sit here and list a 100 reason why Daniel is such an amazing Dad. As the saying goes " Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad!" Daniel is truly a Daddy... an AMAZING one at that.

Every body's Free to Wear Sunscreen...

I hopped in the car today to run some errands and turned on star 94.1 to get my dose of 90's weekend. Much to my surprise they were playing Baz Luhrmann "Every body's Free to wear sunscreen" It sucked me right back to middle school. I love this "song"... although its not really a song.  You may think it's weird but I totally needed to hear it at that moment too! Who would have thought? Anyways if you haven't heard it in a while or ever watch it or just read the Lyrics below...

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99

If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be

it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by

scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable

than my own meandering

experience…I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not

understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.

But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
imagine. Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as
effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing
bubblegum.

The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that
never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm

on some idle Tuesday. Do one thing everyday that scares you Sing Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes
you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with
yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements. Stretch Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life…

Some of the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium. Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe
you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky
chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t

congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your

choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body,

use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own..

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room. Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them. Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly. Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for
good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future. Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you should hold on.

Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft. Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders. Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85. Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen…

Strange Week...

This has been a strange week for for me. The week started off with me trying to be a good wife and take our trash too the dump.  Which I did and on the way home driving Daniel's truck one of the trash cans blew out. I turned right around (I was only 50 feet away) , and by the time I got back to the trash can that was on the side of the road a guy had pulled over and was taking it! I yelled " Hey Stop" He jumped in his truck a squealed off! If you know me you know howwwww much this fumed me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ready to fight! So I chased after the guy while calling Daniel who was at work and was right down the road.... Long story short the guy got away and Daniel and i couldn't find him after searching for 45 minutes. So to the guy in Cartersville who drives a 90's model Black single cab Ford Truck...I'm looking for you! LOL I want my can back!

Two days later I get a phone call that my little sister is very hurt after her thumb was displaced trying to get a runner out at home...Which she did! Anyways... There are 10 years in age difference between Sydney and I. I watched my Mom give birth to her, so I feel like more like shes my child than sister. It was heart breaking to to hear her moaning in the back of the car on her way to the emergency room last night. I dropped everything and headed straight there. Sydney is one tough chick... I will have to say holding her legs down while they popped her finger back in place ranks #2 of worst moments EVER! Just shy of having to hold my own baby down while a nurse "tried to IV her". I have never heard a scream of pain like that...ugh

Lastly God has just really gave me a heavy heart.... I'm pretty sure he has different plans for Daniel and I than we had planned. I'm trying to be ok with that.( our marriage is fine people...it's not that) This verse has been in my head all day.

Jeremiah 29:1!
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

My little Dancing Queen

If there is one fact about my Ella it’s that the child lovesssss to Dance! Seriously we can be anywhere and she hears music she starts so Dance and Grove to it! Sometimes she gets so into it that she will close her eyes and sway back and forth slowly. It’s the sweetest thing, almost as if the music takes over her. I love it! Trust me as soon as I can get her into dance I am!
Yesterday Daniel and I went to Best buy to buy a camera.... while waiting on Daniel to check out Ella heard some music coming from somewhere in the store. She starting bopping her head up and down, so I told Daniel I was going to take her to "find" the music while he was busy... Well I thought it was pretty funny how she was just dancing away in Best buy. So I recorded it.... Hope it puts a smile on your face as it did mine.
Oh and sorry but it will break your neck to watch it....

Take a deep breath...

If you don't want to hear a little complaint than don't read this blog...but it’s just the mood I'm in.  Ella woke up this morning with goopy eyes, and was super crabby. If there is one thing I have learned in my short 17 months of being a Mommy it’s that when my Ella wakes up really crabby it’s time to call the doctor. So I did. Well my sweet baby girl has got PINK EYE in both eyes, and another ear infection! I mean where did she even get Pink Eye from??? I really could just cry...I feel like the child can't catch a break. On the bright side her burn is looking GREAT. Her face almost looks like nothing ever even happened. Her arm is getting there. It’s amazing how quickly children heal. Here’s some pictures of how her arm, and how fast its changed in just a week.
